I was just thinking. We used to have to wait a couple of days for a tour post. Now we can see all the instagram action right on the spot. From having to wait for the the new magazine or 411. New blog post. New web clip. Instagram.

This site. More stagnant. Can't refresh feed here and watch go to pop page.

New Pil soon. I want to see the shots.

fresh: sounds like a summer you'll be bringing in some cash. I bet you'll like not having the internet and checking your smart phone every three minutes, after a detox period of about a week. Enjoy it while it lasts, and tell us some stories from the great sea when you return upon these boards.

Jgonz: to much ass for me on that site. Allways to much ass in porn. I don't feel the need to have a close look up someones asshole.

Not completely buzzed, just not two feet long lol.

Free styling is how you get popular if you're afraid of stairs. Still pretty cool though

Hogan, dance music, and monster energy drinks. Lamest shit out there.

I found a flip board at a park the other day, not a skatepark, just a park. Free skateboard!

Ha. What graphic was it? Trucks and everything?

S. how does recycling work in Germany?
These guys came into my work. A grocery store. And tried to exchange some cans. I'm not sure what they wanted but they brought straight up beer and soda fans and wanted to like recycle or get store credit or something. They were confused when i told them we cant take your cans and you have to go to a recycling facility if you wanted to get rid of them. I wonder if Germany is kinda like Mexico that you bring your containers back or something.
Posted By: Jgonzalez on June 2nd, 2012 at 09:44PM PST
Cans. Not fans.
Posted By: Jgonzalez on June 2nd, 2012 at 09:45PM PST
We do have a deposit system.Yes.

Every market/store larger than 200sq m (wich means almost every supermarket, maybe not a corner grocery store) who sells bottles or cans for which a deposit must be paid (one way or refillable) must accept both their own empties and those of other suppliers.

You´ll just throw em in some collecting/deposit automat/machine that scans the bottles/cans.The pledge will be redeemed at the counter.
25 cent for a bottle or can.

But there are much more bottles in use/sale than cans.
Beer is mostly sold in bottles.Germans like their beer out of a bottle.
Same with soda.Sadly and like elsewhere canned energy drinks are quite

we recycle in Norway too. Bottles and cans goes back to the store to deposit like in Germany like S said. Then we have different waste baskets for plastic waste + organic waste + metal cans + cardboard and paper + glass, then we have yet another waste basket where all the rest of the thrash goes that doesn't fit in any of those categories. It is some work to do all this, but when you are used to it you don't think much about the extra work. Everybody has to do it at their house so it's not a big deal. Anything to stop the thrash island in the ocean to grow rapidly.

I watched a documentary about hoarders and it said that two people had died in their apartment in NY because they had filled it up with so much stuff and thrash that they couldn't get to the door anymore. They built their own thrash coffin.
Posted By: emilie on June 4th, 2012 at 11:42AM PST
I think the deposit/recycling system is all over europe.
Well maybe except for Naples...

In Germany there´s this TV series about messies and hoarders.
You´ll never know what tragedy happens next door.

I need to Recycle. Oh man, the new catalog is sick!

So this new Instagram contest is getting Toy Socks on the map. That's good news for us, and Toy Machine..

Haha Skate porn.

\"It is some work to do all this, but when you are used to it you don\'t think much about the extra work.\"

Try telling that to conservative America. I\'ve been a big catalyst in getting my family to recycle or at least dispose of waste properly. In the store that I work at, there is only one trash bin as soon as you walk in. No recycling or anything unlike the healthfood stores that have various bins to properly dispose of stuff. but man. how retarded do you sound only having 1 bin for everything. and on top of that the family that owns the store employs a bunch of conservative people that don\'t think about what they\'re throwing away. then again, we have a \"zero waste\" thing on our dumpster. I guess they sort through the trash and sort it at the trash facility. how american. pay somebody to do your work. right now it\'s a hot topic whether to ban Plastic shopping bags. LA and Bay area are trying. I\'m sure SF will be the first to pass it.I think in SF it\'s a 1 penny charge for each bag. How are plastic bags regulated in Europe? how prevalent are they for shopping? I guess we need to consider that I guess Europeans typically go grocery shopping more often than Americans. I think Americans go shopping normally once every two weeks.
Posted By: Jgonzalez on June 4th, 2012 at 10:18PM PST
yes. I love the new Toy clothing line.
where can I slide my credit card?

Ha. Hoarders. yeah. that show rules. people that keep too much stuff in their home. and have psychological problems. and we get to invade their private space and thoughts through our tv. it\'s cool. I didn\'t know there was a German version.

At my work, there\'s this totally obese like 50 something year old lady that\'s reeealy really picky and critical. like she thinks she\'s friends with my boss and she complains about how much we suck at working to her.anyway, she tells you where to put exactly everything and stuff when you load groceries into her car when you do a carry out for her. and she makes you load up her mini van that\'s dirty and has a bunch of garbage in it. She has you keep her cold groceries seperate I guess since she doesn\'t unload the food from her van for a while. her ford windstar or something. She can\'t walk well. It\'s gross. but funny. Sad though, since she\'s a waste of life. and she doesn\'t tip.

I need to hoard myself to death with Toy Machine
Posted By: Jgonzalez on June 4th, 2012 at 10:19PM PST
In my local area young people (mainly students) shop with their bagpacks
Older people also use some sort of a trolley.
It seems they´re more aware of the problem plastic bags cause or they´re (like the older ones) just used to.
The mid aged (mostly families or mothers) usually drive their shopping carts straight to the car and dump their stuff in the trunk.
But plastic bags are a hot topic here too. Guess it´s just laziness.
Posted By: S on June 5th, 2012 at 02:19AM PST
Why do you think germans go to the grocery more often?
Cause we buy less frozen or tinned food?
I wouldn´t say that. But over the last couple of years people got more aware of their diet, so maybe it´s true.
I think it also depends on your personal situation.
Families usually go once a week or on their weekends, if they don´t care much about healthy or fresh foods and don´t have the time or money to do so.
Posted By: S on June 5th, 2012 at 02:19AM PST
I guess everything you´ll find on american TV you´ll also find on german TV.Especially \"judging\" shows are very popular.
I think we have 5 or 6 casting shows running at the same time now.
Same with cooking shows and everything social drama.
Like hoarders, messies, beauty and make over shows, Judge Judy, etc.
Whole channels dedicated to stuff like that.

Thank Tim Berners-Lee there´s the internet.
Posted By: S on June 5th, 2012 at 02:20AM PST
My school doesn't recycle anything but paper. I'd say about 2000 plastic bottles get thrown in the trash everyday.

Yeah trucks and everything. Some independents, the wheels, bearings, and griptape are pretty much unusable though.

It's just what I've heard people say a lot. that europeans buy groceries more often. It's weird to see people at health food stores that wear Soccer jerseys. Usually only mexicans like futbol here in California. but I guess interest is growing amongst americans.

Judge Judy is there too? damn. that bitch gets around.

yeah. My middle school has these recycling things propped up all around the campus.they didn't have that back when I went to middle school. shit. they had Powerade/coca cola machines and sold Little Debbie snacks and sodas in the lunch line. And I even would put peoples bottles in my backpack to recycle later. Early 2000's to now transition is cray.

Shit. at least you got some free Indies. I use Valve Oil, stuff for Valve instruments like Trumpets and stuff I get from the music store to revive water logged bearings.
David Gonzalez. LOL. that's a funny graphic.

Imagine playing Limp biscuit with those cupcakes.

I think Americans just assume Europeans all eat healthy and stuff.

but IDK man. never been in your 'hood.
Posted By: Jgonzalez on June 5th, 2012 at 10:42PM PST
See. And I always thought all americans are skinny
and short and look like David Faustino but then I meet the Tempster..
I mean...
big and fat and look like Marlon Brando but then I meet the Tempster..

Recent statistics say that every 2nd or third german has overweight...
Not me.I´m like a gazelle.Of course.

I see people at the grocery store I work at twice a day every time I'm there. I don't know why they come in there so much, it's gotta be a hassle unless they have nothing better to do. I would think people in the U.S. shop more often than people in Europe. I see a lot of the same people that come in almost every time I'm there. Sometimes we get a person that spends like $250-$400 because they only come in like every two or four weeks, but that's rare. Most people come in on the weekends and get little odds and ends during the week. Nobody gives a shit about recycling here haha. Only for their 5 cent deposit, if not for that, I doubt anybody would do it.
Posted By: Mike on June 6th, 2012 at 02:30PM PST
LOL at everyones comments. My computer is down, my dog chewed the power cord. I'm doing this from my phone. Recycling is a lost cause in my neck of the woods. Hell people here are conservative and think the world's gonna end, so they say" who cares about the planet? Its going to hell anyway."

hahaha yes, I'd frame it.

just found out I got in to an art school for next year. Or it's not really an art school, but it's a school where anyone who wants to be an arts teacher will go. Hopefully it will be fun, I'll be making all sorts of things with many types of material like wood, metal, porcelain, clay, fabrics, paint, drawings, paper and probably more. I am looking forward to actually making something for school, not just reading all the time.
