One Night and One Day
October 23 and 24, 2010.
The day started with nice hair, but I digress, and will fast forward to the night.
Susanna Melanie Berry, a sweet soul and a sharp talent.
We went to the opening of Menage a Trois, with Melanie, C. R. Stecyk, and Steve Olson, (yeah, Alex's Dad.)
I need to get in with these legendary dudes.
Lets get Deanna in that picture...
Steve Olson's art kept falling off the wall.
Then the 24th. The last possible day of renting a boat from Joe's in Avalon.
Off on a great adventure. Escaped the rain all day.
What is this, WWII?
California before us.
It was a very relaxing Sunday.
The water was glassy, you could see the opaleye as well as the garibaldi.
Then these guys showed up.
Then these guys showed up.
And we got close.
Or they 'let us' get close.
Quite a humbling experience.
These were big, I think they were Bottlenose.
Pared down for the winter, the harbor and pier shed boats, tourists, and docks.

The guys from Joes Rent-a-boat haul all of the boats up to the land for the winter.
We watched them hoist up the very boat I drove today, #73.
Plowing through dolphins one minute, getting stored the next.
#73 gets taken away.
JJ, says to me today, "Have you ever Googled yourself? I checked you out and didn't know about all of your weird artwork and stuff."
Me: "So you saw Deanna naked?"
JJ: "That was the first thing that popped up."
Me: "So you saw Deanna naked?"
