Blurry Photos from Yosemite

I forget how old these are, but safe to say over a decade. I had a twin lens reflex camera that I brought to Yosemite National Park. I didn't know how to use it.

I wasn't lying. They are super blurry.

You may be asking yourself, "Why am I looking at shitty photos on a website?" And I would reply, "Why are you looking at shitty photos on a website? Go out and do something better with your time."

But look how young and skinny I was.

This was the only good photo on the roll. Jamie Hart, circa 1998, - 97 maybe?

I have pictures like this myself...me younger and skinny and now 30 something..and sometimes it scares me a little when I remember times and they´re already 20 years ago, and most of my memory orientations are based on experiences I had with skateboarding or music or art.And now that I´m not able to skate anymore, I´m lucky that I also kept up with drawing and photography and can rely on this and it makes it easier to look back on things that are gone, but were loved and neccesary to get here.Seriously I think we´re a good generation with precious experiences and interests and it´s great that I have been able to see people and myself growing in or with skateboarding and getting to live a life their parents propably couldn´t dream of or imagine. We´re blessed!

When was the last time you wore a toy machine shirt.
Posted By: john on September 25th, 2010 at 09:05AM PST
these photos may be "shitty" from a fine art stance or whatever but its cool to see, for example, deanna wearing pig tails and a camo shirt. if you think they're shitty, why'd you post them. for the memories perhaps? or to maintain a constant flow of blog postage?

also, i did do something good with my time today. i skated in a contest. it was a "street jam" where they took us from spot to spot around town while a red bull truck followed and played sweet dance jams and dished out hyper caffienated, ultra dehydrating beverages to sweaty skaters. suprisingly the cops only came once. i won 2 decks and a hat while representing the sock team.

Hey Vinny, klingt interessant.Kann man dem Sock-Team beitreten, oder wird die Mitgliedschaft vergeben? Könnte mich auch produktiv einbringen.
Cheers to Kassel.

it's been raining here for the past two weeks. Skate Gods save my wretched soul from this constant torment. Actually I was trying to skate the other day and I guess my ankle isn't as healed as I thought. How long do you guys usually wait for your rolled ankle to get better? it's been a little over a month for me with some little excercises.

@oversea- yeah I'm getting to my thirty mark in like five years and I already feel like it's getting hard for me day after day. . . I don't want to be an old man. this ankle injury is kinda freakin me out. I already had my quarter life crisis!

@vinny- good goin! holy blueberry fuck that would be sweet to win a street jam. Be somebody. Do something. That's cool though for real.

I have shame for my consumption of energy drinks from time to time. I'm just glad I'm not one of those guys who like wears a redbull hat and or have an energy drink tat.

@Ed- have you been paying attention to Detroit? it reminds me of how New York was explained in a way while watching Beautiful Losers. I have no shame for the person featured in this video, I just found it and I thought everyone here would like it > > > http://www.palladiumboots.com/exploration/detroit

breeding ground for inginuity and art. That's kind of cool. on the flip side though. Detroit can be seen as > > > >http://www.palladiumboots.com/exploration/detroit

both examples I enjoy thoroughly.

for some reason I feel like I want to start smoking again after not doing so for two years cold turkey. buy a pack of expensive chemicals rolled in paper for self inflicted punitive damages. my body is a temple.

Ja, macht etwas für die Sock Team! Bitte.
Everyone should contribute to the sock team.

Hey Ed, we have a 25 year old here, speaking about beeing an "old man"
when getting 30..what you say?Maybe the Sock Team should start an Old Men Chapter, for old pawns like me.
Posted By: S van Oversea on September 25th, 2010 at 10:36AM PST
I will, when I´m back from vacation, vinny.
Posted By: S van Oversea on September 25th, 2010 at 10:38AM PST
Congrats Vinny. The Sock Team appreciates it.
This sounds lame, but 'old' really is in the mind.
Your physical 'old' is always putting 'old' in your mind, but don't let it.

Josiah, do you see this where you work?

i always put the sock team before me.

i study international agriculture and this "green washing" business is all too apparent, for example, the Cargill ad with green pastures and well fed cows. Its even evident in Organic products, where companies have taken advantage of a this labelling system as a marketing scheme. So you think youre getting fresh food from a that small family farm romantized image in your head, but its still a gigantic monoculture (more like a factory) with one half of the farm using chemical fertilizers and the other half just using tons of manure (which is barely a "lesser evil.").

Transparancy is non existent these days. And like ed says, this is why hes totally vegan, but to also know that your vegetables and grains are produced in something more like an assembly line... is fucked. No escape.

Fresh
Natural
100%
Daily Serving of Vegetables
Grains
Antioxidants
Words put on food packages that can mean nothing or very little.

I don't get dudes that are totally down with Energy drinks. You know it takes an hour or two for the drink to have an affect. So instantly downing that shit then doing some badass physical stunt is all placebo affect.

If you don't like this blog, don't look at it.

Whoever said these photos are bad? Subjective opinion, bro. I'm sure dudes that take Polaroids of Fields have a skewed opinion.

Is Jamie Hart wearing Half Cabs? Before they were associated with Motorcycles,Beards, and iPhones.

No links on the bottom? OMG.

Is that Cheese link about feeding cows different mixtures of food do get more efficient production of Cow juice?
At the place where my Dad's cousin works in Oregon. They have this like huge pile of powder that they feed their cows. the tractors pull it around. An the cows live in pens with their own shit all over them.
I'm sure they feed cows Corn+Vitaman whatever at most mass producing slaughter houses when they're supposed to eat grass. I forgot what problems it causes, but it messes them up since they're supposed to be eating Grass.
Meg Whitman's preferred method of Cow Slaughter is to have a Mexican immigrant child crawl inside the stomach then thrash, stab, and kill it from the inside.
Invite the parents over, Deep fried cow hooves for dessert.

Damn. Lotta comments today and yesterday.
