I'm going away for a few days...

So here are some photos shot on an iphone. The square ones were made with some 'app' called Hipstomatic. Yeah, a fucking cell-phone. Just for kicks.

You've posted that Steven Wright quote before, getting sloppy ed, just kidding.

EAST COAST ALL DAY.

Photos taken from a moving vehicle, cool. Makes my comment all that more appropriate. The regulars may hate me for it, and I'm going to make this disclaimer in advance: I'm sorry for fanning out too hard.

I'm a regular blog lurker and an infrequent commenter. Big fan of your skating and your art. About a month ago my girlfriend and I went to see the "Perspectives" Exhibit at the ICP in New York. I think I commented on here about it, but it was awesome. We both really loved your section, and it was clear that you were the star of the show. At that time I went into the ICP store looking to see if they had any of your books and I found "The Seconds Pass." Unfortunately I could not afford the book at the time. I was sad, but I still had just seen a really rad exhibit (and got more than I bargained for with the awesome civil rights movement exhibit downstairs), so all in all life was good. Flash forward to today, my birthday, and much to my surprise my girlfriend gave me "The Seconds Pass" as a gift. I was incredibly excited, and upon reading the book I'm even more stoked. Thank you for creating an awesome book, Ed. It made the perfect birthday gift.

Who's iPhone?
These photos remind me of Jacob's facebook, just kidding ;)
So..cell phone pics? You've dipped superlow to my blog standards.
So,college starting in less than a week for me. Maybe my blog will be cooler, or still suck since I'll be taking photos of people instead of talking to them.

Ed,you look pretty good in the second pic. More young and vibrant than what I've been seeing lately, too much sun maybe? I bet you're looking forward to winter. No more toasted skin for you. Winter break is torture.

I opened my browser and saw this article
http://shopping.yahoo.com/articles/yshoppingarticles/419/tips-5-digital-camera-mistakes-to-avoid/
It seems as though those Kodak moments in life are surrounded by a mob of digi-cameras and other digital devices. Like these people were getting married and there was like 8 people on each side of the bride and groom with a Digital Vidcam in one hand and Point and Shoot digicam/cell phone in the other.
End rant/

Who chose the Smiths song on that OCMA Primer video? Does Kevin like the Smiths too? Would be cool. "The ghost of Troubled Jose" is a cooler name than Jgonzalez.

iPhone? I hate you.

Anyhow, my facebook? Facebook.com/Jacobc.Kirkby.
Devin B. just added me on FB. I added Ed's fake profile.
It's just some skater kid. Rad.

Have a good time, Devin.

You disappointed John, Ed, not JGonz.

Has anyone found John on any social networking site?

Let's x2, I hope it was you & another eating mushrooms in the vibrant green forests of Oregon.

I want to live in Oregon. JGonz, the next time I go up to Portland, I'll pick yer ass up along the way. JGonz said he'd try weed if presented to him. I'ma pop that cherry.
Posted By: Jacob on August 25th, 2010 at 10:42AM PST
I prefer water pipes.

When I was in Oregon a couple of weeks ago there was a ton of Christian music on the radio and Christian propaganda on the side of the road. Plus I saw a group of Emo/Scene fellas setting up their band in front of a Church for some "Safe and Positivity festival"
Plus there aren't a million tags everywhere like in CA. I've never been to Portland though, doesn't seem as lame as Medford.

Hooray for Stacy getting a quote!
These pics are dreamy.

Portland is just awesome. Great place for everyone.

I'm going to force you to hit a 10 foot bong.

I love posi music. Why are straight edge kids the only posi kids. I'm super positive & I love sex, drugs & booze.
Posted By: Jacob on August 25th, 2010 at 11:34AM PST
Actually Jacob I searched your name on facebook, but I didn't know what one was you, So I added pretty much everyone named Jacob kirkby.

I'll add you so you guys can see what I look like already. I joined it a few weeks ago so that's probably why.
I'll add you, my name is john marshall. My profile picture looks like I'm 15, but that tends to happen when your only 15.
Posted By: john on August 25th, 2010 at 08:21PM PST
Woo, iPhone! I can't afford one, but I'd love to have one haha. I read that review of your show at ICP and Ken Johnson (the dude who wrote the article and side note: his name sounds like a total WASP name) is fucking lame. He seems like he's bored of life. I enjoyed the show and like Sean said, it was clear you were the star of the show. Anyway, I really missed looking at this blog when my computer was fucked.

I also wanna hear about this 4 day date. 4 days.....thats a long time for a date haha. D. Briggs won't add me on facebook, he thinks im a kook i guess.

Bye everyone.

Found a cool link on Biblical contradictions:

So does that make john the youngest here?

Sorry if I denied you on facebook, I don't know your guys's last names so I didn't think I knew some of you.

My 4 Day Date: this fellow that I've been friends with since 04 (he lives out of town) came to visit this past weekend. we had a date last year when I was in NYC, and this past weekend he came to visit me! he's so dreamy!

I made him a mix CD that had The Smiths on it........
Posted By: Hemlock Drew on August 26th, 2010 at 01:42AM PST
Posi music rox.

Wait, who here lives in Portland? I have some buddies that live there and I go visit.
Posted By: Hemlock Drew on August 26th, 2010 at 01:44AM PST
Are you gay or are you joking, either way it's cool with me and I don't really care.

Ya, I think I'm the youngest, you guy's get to watch me grow up and I get to watch you die.
Posted By: john on August 26th, 2010 at 08:32AM PST
What Smiths songs were on that mix?
I won't share you?

And if a double decker bus crashes into you guys, To die by his side,is such a heavenly way to die. And if a ten ton truck kills the both of you. To die by his side, the pleasure, the privilege is yours.
Posted By: Jgonzalez on August 26th, 2010 at 12:48PM PST
Yeah, I'm gay.

I put "Half a Person" on the mix, and on future mixes I'm going to put "How Soon Is Now?" and "Ask"

One of my bands played with the most incredible Smiths/Morrissey cover band EVER - they are called The Handsome Devilz

ed, i sincerely recommend the channel islands. for 6 years in a row i went with my parents. my step dad is chumash indian and super into his culture, my mom is also native and each year a few chumash men paddle a wood plank canoe called a tomol from ventura harbor to santa rosa island("Limu"). its absolutely gorgeous there and completely vacant. you can hike for miles with no one around. possibly have sex ona sea cliff. its beautiful. it costs $50. worth it.

hemmies, kewt. im glad we have a gay guy on here who is down and how all of us are down. were building this weird internet friendship into a vast ocean of bffs on facebook. excuse my softness. im depressed because i have no home. carolyns brother and i got into a heated shout match because he was making her cry and i got the boot for it. im living on my sisters couch until i find a better job and place to live on my own. luckily im still in the same city where my job and school is. i can only hope for the best.

oh, drew, i have friends in portland, but beside that im in love with that city. portland, oregon will be my home someday.

i wont be commenting as much.

I'm still waiting for the "Toy Machine Website Frequent Commenters Convention"

of maybe we'll call it PawnCon ha ha!

We'll have screenings of all the TM vids, a gallery of TM ads, TM clothing fashion show, and then of course Q&A with frequent commenters, and then a skate jam.
