One more sneek peek...

The stuff was picked up today, my living room is bare again, naked.

Posted By: vinny on January 29th, 2010 at 06:41PM PST
Couldn't agree more with 'Sambalam'... Ed, you are an inspiration. Good luck at your Show!

(and man do I want to skate... damn snow!)

Hey Ed, did you begin to add the quotes after interviewing Bill Owens? I know how he mentioned something about boring captions. I am just wondering.
Posted By: Robert on January 29th, 2010 at 09:26PM PST
Sorry let me clarify. I don't mean you have boring captions nor do I think the quotes or any previous captions are boring. I am just wondering if he inspired you to add a little something more than just "This is a tree."
Posted By: Robert on January 29th, 2010 at 09:28PM PST
can't wait to see your work in Ghent!

Watch out for old men with hard sticks.

I usually write on the photos with a brush and ink, rarely with marker.

I have always wrote on the photos, inspired by examples like Jim Goldberg, Peter Beard, Allen Ginsberg, and late Robert Frank. Bill Owens had no effect, but I like what he says, especially letting the person in the photo write the caption. He did that, and so did Jim Goldberg with great effect in his book "Rich and Poor". Worth a look up online!

I dig this Jim Goldberg guy:

and I couldn't find (and I'm not aware of) any Ginsberg examples

Posted By: ed on January 31st, 2010 at 11:28AM PST

Posted By: sean m on January 31st, 2010 at 12:15PM PST
Yup.
A Bam Margera board.

I didn't know Bam was still on Toy when Tech Decks came out.
Posted By: Jacob on January 31st, 2010 at 12:30PM PST
I can ask my girlfriend, it shouldn't be a problem. You can ride with us to the show.

We got beds, food, sex, weed, & instruments.
Isn't that all SF kids need?

It's just a thought.
Posted By: Jacob on January 31st, 2010 at 12:41PM PST
cool pic finds!

and, i always wondered how much board companies made off of tech decks
Posted By: vinny on January 31st, 2010 at 01:01PM PST

jacob, while i hugely appreciate the offer of SF-style indulgences, i'm usually good with just a place to lay my sleepy self! either i'm too east coast or just boring! but nah, i definitely appreciate the offer of a place to crash. if it wouldn't be a problem, that would be awesome.

if you want to get at me, my e-mail address is right up there! thanks homie.

Ed, I tried to read what you wrote on the photo of the naked woman on the ground, but all i could make out was something about a bus stop... what's the story behind that photo?
