Snow is better than rain! We went to the Belvedere, a great and fancy palace which houses some great artwork by Klimt, and Schiele, as well as Munch, Kokoschka, Gerstl, etc...
They have a great garden that is seemingly being worked on at the moment.

I had a sit-down with two skaters I met back in 1991 when I first came to Vienna... Hans-Peter and Michael. Michael just had a baby boy, and Hans-Peter is a scientist, doctor, and teacher, but still skates every day!

Then in the evening, our friends Julie and Bennett invited us to the Opera!! My first one ever...

And no better place to see one I suppose than the world famous Vienna opera house!
It was over when the fat lady sang!

Thats pretty frickin sweet, yah the only two opera's that I have seen were The Phantom of the Opera and Le Meserable at Broadway in New York. It was the pimp shit!

well...Phantom of the Opera and Le Meserable ain't real operas. they are musicals. operas are, for examle: aida, don giovanni, le barbier de sevilla... in musicals the actors talk in between, in operas ther's strictly singing. so long... but ed while you are in vienna: VISIT THE ZOO!!! it's called "tiergarten schönbrunn", it's the eldest zoo worldwide, and said to be the best in europe... and even organisations like the WorldWildlifeFond remark the incredible good way the animals are treat there. it's amzing trust me, this Zoo blows minds
