They have some weird toys in France...
They kept this at '2-year-old' level in the window display along with many much more graphic toys which couldn't even be photographed for this website.
And this wasn't a porn shop, it was a comic book store complete with kids buying Spider-Man comics...

just wondering, an artist that makes no big thing about shooting flicks of his wifes naked fuzzy peach, and pics of teens making out holding phalic tools over their crotches, sucking on ciggs etc.- can make a big deal about this window display?
TRUE STORY:
i was in Giant Robot (nyc shop) which isn't a porn shop. fact is, they sell comics, plush stuffed toys, etc. all displayed on child friendly, brightly colored shelving units and bookcases kept at '2-year old' level.
in the mix of the child friendly colorfull objects begging to be grabbed by children, is The Golden Age of Neglect. your book, which grazes a bloody hand and fuck you finger on the cover, was picked up by a little kid.
the kid no older than 5, had Your book open to page 21. Its the spread that has your naked wife vaccuming, and two kids (maybe a year older than the boy holding the book) making out. No shit, the boy looked confused as hell and showed his mom, and kept saying over and over again, "no-no-spot."
i guess he was refering to the naked exposed body parts featured in the book and flipped further pointing out "no- no- spots".
now my question is, do you still feel "seeing porn in a window at kid face level is weird"......cause i bet the mother of that child felt alot weirder.
i felt weird for the mom, not about the flics in your book. i have nothing but respect for your work, just wondering why your so heated about the window display. word.....i havent heard the phrase "no-no-spot" in such a long time. kids are weird. i bet parenthood is weirder.

I saw this very toy in a comic book and toy shop in midtown Manhattan, a few blocks from Madison Square Garden. I think it's a Japanese-made toy.
