In El Paso, Texas, we stopped to buy sandwich materials since El Paso is not so vegan friendly. I bought a small cooler and filled it with ice to keep the items chilled. Then we drove to downtown El Paso to make sandwiches and eat them. We parked in the shade near
San Jacinto Square, and walked into the square to eat our sandwiches while some hippies played a drum and tried to sell their artwork and handicrafts, and a series of older Mexican men in cowboy hats sat around
staring into space. One of them arose and started singing mariachi songs out loud for no apparent reason. It was nice.
